¡Feliz año nuevo a todos! December proved to be a great month to finish out 2013. Madrid is such a festive city and another holiday away from my family turned out to be pretty fun. Not only did I run through the streets dressed as Santa Claus, but I also hosted a Christmas party, had my first (but not last!) American visitor in Spain, ate too many holiday treats, visited a new city, and rang in the new year the traditional Spanish way (eating a fried egg and migas for lunch and 12 grapes for countdown while making 12 wishes!).
